In 1938 Daryl E Yates signed on the first radio station in East Texas - KRBA. It was also the year he went live and on the air with Lufkin Panther Football.

Hello everybody, I am Stephen Yates, owner and general manager of YatesMedia. Over the years I have had the priviledge of carrying on the tradition of airing Panther Football, Basketball and Baseball on our radio stations. One of my most prideful memories was having the honor of being the voice of the Panthers, especially during during their victorious journey to the 2001 5A State Football Championship.

Over the past 71 years, the highlight years 1963 state baseball championship, 1979 a state basketball championship, Yates Broadcasting was there. My wife Carla and I are proud graduates of Lufkin High School and soon our two daughters, Amy and Abby, will be graduates of LHS as well.

As we move in to the 22nd century, we are expanding and becoming YatesMedia.

YatesMedia will continue its broadcast tradition as the voice of ALL Lufkin Sports. Stay with us this 2009-2010 season for the exicting play-by-play action you've come to expect on ALL our Panther broadcasts.
